Why are some bereft of wealth, love, health, and a good education? The answer lie in these few words below.
Whether nations or individuals, you can have what you want if you build it. Why is it such a difficult thing then? It is mostly difficult because of the practicality of building. Most people cannot build anything for themselves without outside help.
Why can you only build something if given power? Rise up and build something for yourself before you are chosen to lead. Rise up and build a reputation for yourself, rise up and build a house for yourself, rise up and build your relationship. What you build will testify of your leadership.
Most nations that were poor earlier, rose up and built their nations. Through political reformations, human resource development, economic and policy changes, they moved their poor states to a rich and prosperous one.
In this part of the world, we only have individuals and “leaders” who can only build something when given power to rule. As we approach an election year, we see all sorts of visionaries, and idealists claiming to know what the country needs to be prosperous. Why is it the case? This is because such people are imprudent, impractical and have no eye for the future. We focus on things and bring up policies that tend to poverty.
Rise up “leader” and build something before you are chosen to lead. King David as we all know him built up people who were in distress, debt and bitter of soul. He built his human resource and this was long before he was chosen to become king.
If you claim to be wise at governance, Mr. Aspiring presidential candidate, if you claim to love our nation, build something for it, build something for the people, build something for your followers before you are chosen. Through wisdom is an house builded;… Proverbs 24:3. “…For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.” Luke 7:5
