Yaw Ahenkwah retains NDC parliamentary seat in Jaman North.

Mr Frederick Yaw Ahenkwah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliamentary retained the Jaman North constituency seat of the Bono Region, securing 21,134 votes in the parliamentary elections. 
 
His closest rival, Mr Enoch Nyarko, the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Parliamentary Candidate (PC) had 15,316 votes, with Mr Martin Kwame Antwi, an Independent PC securing 181 votes. 
 
Mr Enoch Kwaku Adoglo, the Jaman North Returning Officer of the Electoral Commission who declared the results said the NDC’s flagbearer, the former President John Dramani Mahama also obtained 22,622 votes with NPP’s Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia securing 12,837 votes in the presidential ballot too. 
 
In his victory speech, Mr Ahenkwah expressed gratitude to his followers, NDC supporters and all the electorates for the confidence reposed in him once again and promised to work hard to bring the development of the constituency to the next level.
