Three persons who were jailed 17 years each for robbing mobile money vendors and a driver of his vehicle within the Accra Metropolis, created a scene at the court premises in their bid to escape.
But for the timely intervention of brave court officials and the Police, the convicts would have escaped.
The accused subjected policemen to slaps and punches in the bid to escape.
A warning shot by a police officer stopped the accused who were then close to the courts main gate.
Accused are: Evans Nuetey, Abukari Sadiq aka Frenchman and Prince Ayitey were nabbed and beaten and sent to prisons.
The Court presided over by Mrs Priscilla Dapaah Mireku found Nuetey and Sadiq guilty on the charges of conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.

It also found Prince Ayitey guilty for robbing one Andoh Antwi a mobile money vendors of GHS 3,500 and credit cards worth GHS 4,000.
Ibrahim Muntari was however acquitted and discharged by the Court at the end of the trial.
Stephen Waja aka Sakibu or Borsu, one of the accused persons, died during the trial.
Prosecution led by Police Chief Inspector John Gohoho narrated that the complainants were Clement Kusewon residing at Alhaji Tobora, Edmund Ntiamoah of Ofankor, Frederick Apiagyei Buku of Lomnava, Andoh Antwi, Maxwell Boakye and Isaac Agyeman of Ablekumah (all mobile money vendors)
Prosecution said Muntari and Waja were arrested at Pokuase by the Greater Accra Regional Police on the offence of possession of fire arms without authority.
On March 17, last year the Police received intelligence that Muntari and Waja were among those who attacked mobile money vendors during the year 2019 to March 6, 2020.
Prosecution said during interrogation, the two accused persons mentioned Nuetey, Sadiq and Ayitey as their accomplices.
Muntari and Waja mentioned Alhaji Tabora, Pokuase and Fan Milk as some of the places they had gone to rob.
On March 18, last year, Prosecution said Muntari led the Police to the homes of the three convicts and they were arrested.
Prosecution said at Nuetey’s residence, a locally manufactured pistol eight BB and three AA cartridges were found.
During interrogation, accused persons admitted being responsible of series of mobile money vendors robberies at the aforementioned areas.
On March 20, this year, accused led the Police to Alhaji Tabora and pointed where they robbed and attacked some of complainants.
Edmund Ntiamoah, a second complainant, called the office of the Greater Accra Regional Police and identified Nuetey and Waja as those who snatched his car with registration number GC 2094-19 but changed it to GE 547- 19 which they used for their robberies.
