Now, his Bayern team-mate Kane has joked to <em>ITV Football</em> that <a href="https://twitter.com/MunichFanpage/status/1787892016866627860" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">he could have convinced Musiala to join the England squad</a> had he met him earlier.</p> <p class="">Kane said: “I joke a bit with Jamal Musiala about him choosing Germany over England. Aside from the fact that he’s been living and playing there since 2019, the 21-year-old will also know that the Germans have a far better tournament record than the Three Lions, with five World Cup wins and three Euros triumphs to date. But, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is allegedly dissatisfied with the public attention around Kane’s sale, fearing that it may raise the striker’s price.</p> <p><strong>WHAT THEY SAID: </strong>“It’s no secret that we’re very interested in Kane. Everything Uli Hoeness said is correct,” Dreesen said.</p> <p>“But it’s best for us to stick with what Thomas Tuchel said. The grass doesn’t grow faster when you pull it…”.</p> <p><strong>THE BIGGER PICTURE:</strong> Bayern has already submitted three bids for the striker from Tottenham Hotspur as the Bavarians look for a new striker. The Tottenham striker was impressed with Bayern’s coach and expressed his desire to join his club. Kane also stated that his biggest incentive for leaving Spurs would be to compete for the Champions League with Bayern Munich. After failing to win any silverware at Tottenham, the striker’s “greatest dream” is to capture the European Cup.</p> <p><strong>THE BIGGER PICTURE: </strong>Bayern have already seen a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/bayern-munich-submit-gbp60m-harry-kane-transfer-bid-bundesliga-champions-beat-man-utd-race-tottenham-star/blt42dadce2d3b8daec" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">bid of £60 million ($77m/€69m) for Kane</a> rejected by Spurs but are expected to return with a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/will-bayern-munich-make-second-bid-tottenham-striker-harry-kane-70m-rejected-transfer-plan-revealed/blte0fa5a5158f06b95" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new and improved bid</a> for the England captain. Tottenham are thought to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/bayern-munich-preparing-improved-offer-86m-harry-kane-spurs-nine-figure-transfer-fee/bltcede04d64ea92c90" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">want at least £100m ($127m/€116m)</a> for their all-time record goalscorer.</p> <p><strong>AND WHAT’S MORE: </strong>Tottenham are known to be tough negotiators but Kane is willing to try and push through a move this summer.
