There’s something about guilt that fascinates me. You see, it’s not about the circumstances that brought about it, nor your capability to curb it in.
Actually, it’s really about whom you feel guilty towards. There’s a saying: “out of sight, out of mind”. Well, in certain instances it applies. But that’s not the point. Because whomever you feel guilty towards is constantly there. Present or not. Their presence engulf you when the feeling sets in.
There’s no way out of it but to face it head on. Open up about and let it go. You’d find out they don’t hold it against you. They’d appreciate you just the same. And maybe trust you the more. Then you’d find peace within yourself and with them because they understand.
