Resolution centers will not be closed for SHS placements – Ministry of Education

Date:

The Ministry of Education has urged the public to remain calm as the resolution centers across the country will be opened beyond the April 4 date to serve qualified Senior High School candidates with issues relating to their placements.

The Ministry of Education, in a press release dated April 1, 2022, said it admires the cooperation of qualified candidates, parents, and guardians ever since the computerised 2021 school placement was released.

“The Ministry commends the qualified candidates, parents, guardians, and the public for the cooperation received since the release of the 2021 computerised school placement.”

On March 26, 2022, the Ministry released the computerised placement for persons who sat for the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) after the results of the examination were released on February 28, 2022. The Ministry assured candidates of its fidelity in ensuring that all qualified candidates are placed successfully.

After the release of the computerised school placements, the Ministry announced that qualified candidates who have already been placed will report to school on April 4, 2022.

Parents and guardians pleaded with the Ministry to push the date forward to allow them to prepare adequately for their wards as they enter their second cycle of education. The Ministry however insisted on the date.

This has somewhat brought some form of fear and panic to those who have not been placed. The ministry has called for calm.

“The ministry wishes to assure the public that the resolution centers across the 16 regions of Ghana will be opened and continue to operate beyond the 4th of April 2022.”

“The Public is therefore encouraged to remain calm and be assured that there are enough vacancies for qualified candidates.”

A call center with a toll-free number, 0302987654 has also been set up to address related concerns.
