Police investigates ‘disappearance’ of mother of three

Date:

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the disappearance of one Mrs. Rhodaline Amoah-Darko.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that she was picked up from work, together with a colleague by some persons who are yet to be identified.

Her husband however said she informed him of her intention to travel to Sunyani on Monday, August 29, 2021.

Nothing has been heard from the mother-of-three since she left home for work on that fateful day.

Mrs. Amoah-Darko works with the Lands Commission in the Ashanti region as a Land Administration Officer.

Prior to her disappearance, Mrs. Amoah-Darko was on Nhyira FM’s morning show on Friday, August 27, 2021, to educate the public on land-related issues.

The Police in a statement indicated that it has launched investigations into the circumstances leading to her disappearance.

“The reported disappearance of one Rhodaline Amoah-Darko has been brought to the attention of the Ghana Police Service. Following the filing of the “Missing Person” complaint by the husband of Rhodaline on September 2, 2021, a team at the National Headquarters, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander and Crime Officer, and his team have spoken to all related parties as part of police investigations.”

According to the Police, prior investigations reveal that the Lands Commission did not assign Mrs. Rhodaline Amoah-Darko any official work, neither was she assigned with any colleague to do any work leading to her disappearance.

It also noted that no other staff of the Commission or any other person linked to Mrs. Rhodaline Amoah-Darko has been declared missing or found dead.

It has also engaged the services of a Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological support to the family of Rhodaline Amoah-Darko and her colleagues at the Lands Commission.

“A 24-hour team is currently working on this case and other related cases. Further details on this case shall be made known to the public,” the statement added.
