Paper Talk: Moyes to bring explosive striker pair to West Ham to bully rivals; Man City star fuming over contract offer

Date:

West Ham are eyeing an explosive double striker swoop that will rock rival defences next season, while Kevin de Bruyne is ‘annoyed’ over Man City’s latest contract offer  – according to Thursday’s transfer gossip.

MOYES EYES DOUBLE STRIKER DEAL

West Ham boss David Moyes is reportedly weighing up a double striker swoop this summer that will strike fear into rival defences.

The Hammers were offered the chance to sign free agent frontman Diego Costa last month. However, Moyes admitted he chose not to upgrade his forward line at the time.

The London club sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax last month, as they opted to recoup approximately £20million of the £45m that they signed him for in 2019.

But they failed to bring in a replacement and will remedy that situation this summer, with funds available.

Former Chelsea striker Costa remains without a club after his release by Atletico Madrid in December.

His combative style of play was well suited to the Premier League during his time at Stamford Bridge.

And the latest reports suggest that West Ham could yet revisit their interest in the 32-year-old.

Meanwhile, Eurosport claims that the Hammers have also made Brentford hitman Ivan Toney a primary target.

The 24-year-old is a pure goalscorer who would slot directly into a starting role at the London Stadium.

He has scored an impressive 21 goals and added seven assists in the Championship this campaign.
