MrAwuah, seeking to step in the shoes ofDr Matthew OpokuPrempeh, now the running mate of the NPP Flagbearer, also took the opportunity to interact with the electorate, highlighting some his policies and aspirations when elected.

He explained the rationale for the screening and the free eye care service for the residents, who included elderly men and women.

“From my house to house engagements in the constituency, I noticed that almost every house I went to, there was at least one person with cataract…,” he explained to the Ghana News Agency.

MaameMalley, a resident, who attended to her mother at the KomfoAnokye Teaching Hospital, thanked the politician and medical service providers for the intervention.

“Ideally, I should have paid GH¢3,000 for the surgery but I was told the cost had been absorbed. I wish to express gratitude to our incoming MP for the good work he has begun…”.she stated.
