Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah, known professionally as Minister Yvonne, is a supremely talented UK- based Ghanaian Gospel musician, songwriter, vocalist and worship leader, who is rocking our Gospel screens in several homes and churches around the world with spirit-engulfed Gospel songs.
In her musical journey spanning close to 3 years, Minister Yvonne recently released her maiden spirit-filled and life-changing ‘FAITH’ album in 2022. The Album contains 10 songs comprising Heal the Land”, Hyebre Sesafo, Give Me Rest, Abundance of Grace, Shidaa featuring M.O.G MUSIC, Conqueror, Besuka and Unchangeable God, Give Me Rest (Instru.) and Shidaa ft. M.O.G Music (Instru.). Her songs minister healing, hope, and encouragement to all manner of people.
Currently, she is the recipient of the UK-based Best Gospel Song of the Year (2022) for her song Shidaa and the 2021 UK-based Gospel Artiste of the Year and Best Gospel Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards-UK. In 2022, she was honoured as the Excellence Song Writer at the Maratha USA Awards. In August 2020, her Besuka Gospel video won the Best International Video of the Year award organised by the WWGMVA UK. In 2022, Minister Yvonne also got featured on BBC Music Introducing; making her the first-ever Ghanaian female Gospel Artiste to achieve such a feat. Due to sheer determination and excellence, last two years, she was given the rare opportunity (as an African) to lead the British Armed Forces Band in October 2021 for Black History Month. That same year, she was published in the UK’s main edition of Black History Month Magazine. Minister Yvonne is currently the Brand Ambassador for Defence Christian Network (DCN) – UK.
Minister Yvonne is famed for her powerful vocal prowess, world-class music videos, and as an enchanting performer – winning souls for God and increasingly building her fanbase across the globe.
Aside from music, Minister Yvonne is into philanthropic activities. Through her YAT Ministries Foundation, she has donated items and money to several organisations including the UK Action Cerebral Palsy Unit and the Eye of the Lord Orphanage in Ghana. Through her international charity works, she received the Brigadier’s Coin honorary in 2021 from the 101 Logistics Brigade in the UK.
