As part of its ongoing “Enjoy a World of Good” campaign, Malta Guinness has extended a hand of solidarity to some local small businesses to boost their presence.
It was done in collaboration with influencers who used their social media platforms to advertise these small businesses- at no cost to the businesses. The businesses were selected from the beauty, personal care, art, fashion, food and beverages, retail, and technology sectors.
In a campaign activity dubbed “Spread Good”, the brand collaborated with media personalities including Delores “Delay” Frimpong-Manso, Giovani Caleb, Regina Van-Helvert, musicians Worlasi, and Mr. Drew, plus others, who selected two businesses each and campaigned for the businesses on their respective social media handle on Instagram for one week.
Businesses that have benefitted from the campaign include Morakiss Beauty Salon and Spa, Fruits, and More Gift Hampers, Maame’s Pancakes, Shades Solution, Hans Kitchen, GoldenDev Officials, Shades Solution, Serwaa Bakes, Thisnobeart Consultancy and Rajni Millinery among others.
Owner of the benefitting business Rajni Millinery in Cape Coast, Francisca Osei Asare, commended Malta Guinness for the initiative and called for brands to do more to support small businesses. “It’s a good initiative which will help boost our exposure and for that we are grateful. We expect more of such”.
The “Enjoy a World of Good” campaign which began in September 2020 leveraged on influencers to make Malta Guinness’ brand presence, which is to fuel the can-do attitude of its consumers. The brand, like many other brands, has harnessed the power of collaboration with influencers and content creators such as @Tatas and Chiderah David to engage fans and consumers through meaningful activities.
It is estimated that the Spread Good campaign has reached over one and half million fans on social media giving these small, mostly online businesses up to 30% more visibility. Malta Guinness is excited to have grown brand engagement among consumers through these influencers.
