National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant John Dramani Mahama has unveiled an award programme that would recognise branches and constituencies for their hard efforts in boosting the party’s legislative and presidential vote totals in 2024.
According to Mr. Mahama, who has been adamant throughout his tour of several constituencies that the branches will serve as the foundation of his 2024 campaign, the award programme is meant to both set goals for the constituencies and motivate them to achieve those goals.

“We’re going to set up a system of incentives for branches and constituencies. To raucous applause from the executives, he declared, “We’ll assign every constituency a target, and if you hit the objective and surpass it, the branch and constituency will be rewarded.
Before to the NDC’s May 13, 2023 presidential primaries, Mahama is currently on a three-day campaign tour of the 23 seats in the central region.
He claims that the logistics and marketing materials required will support both the award programme and the branch-level campaign. Also, he warned regional and constituency executives against holding onto campaign supplies and other resources at the expense of the branches where the actual canvassing of voters takes place.
President Mahama says, he will decentralise his 2024 campaign, much more than he did in 2020, working together with the branches and constituencies to engage, mobilise and canvass for the votes.
The former president has visited six other regions already, including the Volta, Bono East, Bono, Ahafo, Ashanti and Western regions.
