Ketasco 1974-year Group to mark 50th anniversary celebration

Date:

The 1974 past students of the Keta Senior High Technical School in the Volta Region are set to mark their 50 years of completing the school with an anniversary event scheduled for Friday, June 14.

The event would be celebrated on the theme: “Ketasco Our Source, Our Strength, Our Story,” at the school’s assembly grounds from 0930hrs on Friday.

Mr. Siegfried Sedziafa, Chairman of the year group, confirmed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) ahead of the event.

He said the event would be a historic one since it has been five decades because most of them have not met together as colleagues.

Mr. Sedziafa said: “We are glad the Lord has granted us 50 years of life after school, and we will mark it with a glamorous event this Friday.”

He called on the public to come and celebrate with them as they do everything possible to promote the standard of education   in the area.

On invitations, Mr. Sedziafa confirmed that all protocols have been met and invited dignitaries had already confirmed their participation.

The event, which is expected to welcome home past students, will be chaired by Mrs. Bridget Katriku , Chairperson, Council of Elders, KETASCO past students Association.

Togbi Agbeshie Awusu II, the Awadada of the Anlo State, would be the special guest of honour among other dignitaries from both home and abroad.

As part of the anniversary, the group intended to hand over some materials to the school.

These include the refurbished school clinic to enhance the health care of students.
