Black Queens coach names 18-member squad

Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, interim head coach of the national female team, the Black Queens, has name 18  players, ahead of the Women West Africa  Football Union (WAFU) Women Championship in Cote D Ivoire.

        The championship, fixed from 14th to the 24th February, involves the women national teams of eight West Africa countries.

      Ghana is in group A with host Cote D Ivoire Niger and Burkina Faso while group B is made up of Nigeria,Senegal,Togo and Benin.

      Below are the list of invited players; Patricia Mantey, Nana Ama Asantewa

Fafali Dumashinu, Gladys Amfobea, Ellen Coleman, Philicity Asuoko, Faustina Ampah

Juliet Acheampong, Mavis Owusu, Grave Asantewa, Priscilla Okyere, Jane Ayieyam

Portia Boakye, Janet Egyir, Liticia Zikpi

Rita Okyere, Ruth Appiah, Priscilla Saahene

Grace Asare, Ernestina Tetteh and Alice Kusi.

      The technical team is made up of Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo (Interim Head Coach), Edward Williams(GK trainer/ assist coach), Kate Boakye (Doctor), Margaret Foli (physio)

And John Ackon( Equipment Officer)

       Ghana's captian Elizabeth Addo has just changed clubs in US, so she's been permitted to go.
