7 PEOPLE IN CHURCH NOT IN CHRIST
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
There are a lot of people in church but not in Christ. Here are 7 of them:
1. The Pretenders
These are the Pharisees. They are like white washed tombs, they look nice on the outside but in the inside they are full of dead things.
Their private life is different from their public appearance. They have a reputation of being alive but are dead.
2. The Profilers
They are doubters. They are in the church but don’t trust anyone in church. They observe to see if they can find a reason to leave.
They test God to see if He can solve their problems before they commit to Him.
3. The Predators
These people come to church to prey on the innocent. They are guys who use riches and charm to entice committed girls to sin or ladies who use their beauty to entice committed brothers to fall.
4. The Patient
The Church is a hospital. The Patients are required to take their drugs (the word of God) no matter how bitter it may be. For those in church hard messages offend them. Sermons on holiness and purity are bitter pills. Sermons on prosperity and abundance are sweet medicine. They run from churches and pastors who preach pure gospel.
5. The Pampered
These are people in church who want to be visited, cared for, begged before they come to church. They demand social benefits for being a member of your church.
6. The Pompous
The arrogant, the pride and the rude. They think of themselves more highly than they ought to and think of other church members more lowly than they ought to.
They feel the deserve special seats, special attention and special friends in church.
7. The Percher
These are people who are in church because of friends, girl friends, boy friends or family. They are the mixed multitude who fill compelled to be in church.
