Destiny 2‘s Iron Banner launched this week and gave players a new PvP activity, and the arrival of the new feature also introduced a brand new map. However, this is not the only thing that the Iron Banner has introduced, as players have now discovered a new Easter egg.

Destiny 2 players have been buzzing over Lord Saladin’s voice lines today, sharing their favorite phrases from the character. One particular favorite is “die, die die!” which is one of the lines that Saladin says after players get a kill. Saladin’s phrasing is just like Overwatch‘s death-loving character Reaper when he pops his Death Blossom ultimate.

Saladin then follows it up by clearing his throat, apologizing for getting so enthusiastic about the Iron Banner action. He can then be heard asking Crucible commentator Lord Shaxx to give him a glass of water, before yelling at Shaxx for calling him old, which is a nice bit of banter between the two PvP leaders.

The fact that Destiny 2 has an Overwatch Easter egg should come as no surprise to fans of the game. When the first-person shooter arrives on PC later this month, it will use the Battle.net client. That’s the same Blizzard-created client that the PC version of Overwatch uses too.

Moreover, the two games actually share a voice actor. According to IMDb (the International Movie Database), both Lord Saladin and Reaper are voiced by Keith Ferguson. While it’s a little-known fact that Ferguson has done work on both games, for the few fans who are in the know, the Overwatch Easter egg is a nice little tip of the hat.

This Easter egg is unlikely to be the last small touch or reference that Destiny 2 developer Bungie decides to add into the game. There are have already been several other funny throwbacks, including the return of Randal the Vandal and the Floor is Lava mini-game that only the most inquisitive of players will have stumbled upon.

As Bungie is planning even more content for its hugely popular connected game for the near future, the developer has even more opportunities to introduce more secrets for fans to find. The Prestige version of the Leviathan raid is scheduled to arrive soon, for example, and beyond that there is the DLC that has been outlined in the Destiny 2 season pass. It’s too soon to speculate on exactly what Easter eggs await, but whatever they are, players will be determined to find them.

Destiny 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and launches for PC on October 24, 2017.
