Today, the publisher and developer Blizzard took the liberty of officially making Overwatch‘s latest seasonal event live, with Halloween Terror 2017 now allowing players to earn a new range of sprays, cosmetics, emotes, highlights, avatars, voice lines, and costume skins from special loot boxes. Speaking of fresh duds for the game’s heroes, the studio decided to add eight new skins in all, while also bringing back plenty of fan favorites from last year’s event.

As seen in the gallery below, Overwatch fans now have the chance to nab skins that make the former army sniper Ana a rugged corsair, the omnic guru Zenyatta a Cthulu-faced cultist, the wraith-like terrorist Reaper a version of Count Dracula, and the light-bending architect Symmetra some kind of dragon. Not to mention, players can also obtain skins that include Mei as a Chinese hopping vampire known as a jiangshi, Zarya as a flamboyant 80s fitness instructor, McCree as Van Helsing, and Torbjörn as a viking.

For those unaware, more than half of the above Overwatch skins leaked not too long ago, ultimately spoiling some of the surprises in store for Halloween Terror 2017, as the new seasonal looks for Zenyatta, Mei, Symmetra, McCree, and Reaper all surfaced online a few days ahead of the event. Nevertheless, it’s still nice to see the official stills for the skins provided by Blizzard, as they will allow fans to get a much better view of the costumes thanks to each of the pictures being in a higher resolution than the leaks.

In addition to Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017’s newest skins, Blizzard also have made a new highlight intro for Roadhog as Junkenstein’s monster. Not to mention, both Torbjörn and Mei have received fresh emotes, with the former’s being called “Batter Up,” while the latter’s is simply named “Hopping.” Those interested in watching a clip of the aforementioned emotes in action can get a look at them right here.

Taking all of this into account, it’s nice to see that Blizzard has unveiled several brand new skins and have even brought back some fan favorites like Mercy in Witch garb for Overwatch‘s Halloween Terror 2017 event. With any luck, after this year’s celebration of Halloween is over in the team-based shooter, Blizzard will eventually end up saving some of the newest skins in order to make them available again in 2018.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
