Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of Lighthouse Chapel International topped the chart with 1,199,332 followers out of which over 56% were based in Ghana. Mensah otabil of the ICGC Worldwide came second with a total fan page of 1,100,802 but had 61% of his followers being locally based. Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams of the Action Chapel International took the third position with a total fan page of 1,048,201 however a little over 45% of his followers were based in Ghana.
Social Media has helped these Men of God reach more souls beyond what the capacity of their church building . Social Media in Ghana has made it possible for existing church members and potential members to listen to, read messages or see videos from these pastors from any where in the world on their laptops, smarts phones, smart TV. etc.
This also shows the use of Social Media as a tool to grow the church as well as propagate the gospel.
Bishop Charles Agyinasare of Perez Chapel International Rehoboth Temple, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah of the Royal House Chapel , BISHOP JAMES KWAKU SAAH,& Rev. Eastwood Anaba of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries were among the top 10 influential Ghanaian Pastors on Facebook.
Gideon Danso of the Empowerment Worship Centre & Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye of The Makers House Chapel International were the two fast growing pastors on Facebook though they both had below 100,000 total fan page benchmark.
