In pictures: Platinum Jubilee street parties and celebrations

Date:

Street parties and celebrations have been taking place across the country, as thousands of people turn out to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The monarch’s 70-year reign is marked by four days of celebrations over the extended bank holiday weekend.

Here is a selection of images, as communities gather together to enjoy the occasion.

Some people in Cardiff had a chance to enjoy a cake baked by a royal – Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte rolled their sleeves up to produce a batch of fairy cakes.
