Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu will choose winning the Africa Cup of Nations over qualifying to play at the Fifa World Cup.
The 2009 Fifa U-20 World Cup winner says there’s a special feeling in winning Africa’s senior title for a nation.
Four-time champions, Ghana has struggled to clinch the Afcon crown since 1982 and Agyemang believes winning the title due to the long drought will be better.
“For me, I will prefer winning the AFCON title even more than qualifying to the World Cup. That is my opinion.

“I have gone to five AFCON tourneys and I won the U-20 World Cup. I know what I have gained after that. Just imagine after 40 years, if these my brothers there can win the tournament.
“That’s a huge impact on their career and for the nation. I will prefer that,” Badu concluded on Joy Sports.
Badu enjoyed more playing time for the Black Stars after the team’s U-20 triumph in Egypt against Brazil at the final.
