Government rolls out road infrastructure in Ellembelle

The Government has outlined road Infrastructural projects in the Ellembelle District to pave way for a boom in social and economic activities.

District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, Mr.Kwasi Bonzoh who told the media at Nkroful during a working tour of some communities in the District said good road network was one major pillar that development in every District hinged on.

He expressed gratitude to President Nana Akufo-Addo for a sod-cutting ceremony during which 220km of roads was earmarked for construction.

Mr.Bonzoh said the figure brought to 226 km asphalt overlay of roads under construction and was elated that work on the about 6.5 km Esiama-Nkroful-Teleku-Bokazo road was nearing completion.

He said the Teleku-Bokazo-Aiyinasi road, Asasetre-Akropong,Sentaso-Kwesikrom,Prestea-Nkwanta-Kwesi-Krom roads were awarded on contract and town roads were also under construction to change the face of the entire District.

Mr.Bonzoh said only 23km out of the 266km road was inherited from the previous administration and with the completion of the roads, the District would be opened up to make Ellembelle one of the best places to live in Ghana.

He said Ellembelle was the heart of Nzemaland and was therefore his vision to build infrastructure and thanked stakeholders in the District for their cooperation and was hopeful that the NPP government would cement its legacy in the next four years.
