GHANA RACING AHEAD, NOT CHASING IN COVID 19 TESTING

Date:

Ghana’s Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said the country is racing ahead of the corona virus and not chasing it when it comes to the contact tracings and testing.

Speaking on BBC’s focus on Africa the minister said the country took advantage of the delay in recording a case in the country to put in place an aggressive tracing and testing system.

He says Ghana is using a mix of traditional method of asking people where they have been in the past 5 or 6 days in addition to using technology in the contact tracing.

So far Ghana has 195 confirmed cases, 5 deaths and 51 recovery cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
