Ghana has confirmed 72 more recoveries of COVID-19 patients, bringing the country’s total recoveries to 2,070, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
The country’s total case count has also risen to 6,808 from the 6,683 since the last update, an increase of 125 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed in four regions namely; Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Western regions.
Out of the 125 new confirmed cases, the Greater Accra recorded 38, bringing the Region’s case tally to 4,836.
Ashanti Region also confirmed 13 new cases with its total now standing at 1,062 and Central Region also recorded seven to bring its case count to 306.
Western Region however saw the most jump in cases in the last 24 hours, confirming 67 new cases to bring the Region’s total case count to 277 from its previous 210.
The death toll remains at 32 since the last update, while the country’s active case count now stands at 4,706.
Other regions with confirmed cases of the virus include Western North Region-62, Volta Region-47, Northern Region-36, Oti Region-26 and Upper East Region-26.
The rest include Upper West Region-21, North East Region-two, while Savannah and Bono Region have one case each.
The Ahafo and Bono East remain the only regions with no confirmed case of the virus.
