Five Chinese people have been detained in relation to the contentious Ellembelle excavators.

Date:

According to 3news.com, the individuals are currently in police custody.

The operation takes place just one day after Ellembelle’s District Chief Executive (DCE), Kwasi Bonzo, was detained for obstructing traffic.

He was reported to the Western Regional Police Headquarters for interfering with officers’ performance of their duties.

The excavators, which were rumored to have vanished while in police custody, have been located by the policemen.

After being arrested, he was allowed bail; nevertheless, it took some time before his counsel was given access to him.
