Doyens Leverage launches security awareness programme in Northern Region

Date:

Muslims at the Central Mosque in Tamale have been exposed to criminal activities and some strategies adopted by criminals to inflict harm on innocent citizens.

They were shown videos of various criminal activities including kidnaping, terrorism, human trafficking, contraband trafficking, human body harvesting amongst others to ensure that they were alert at all times to help safeguard their lives against such criminal acts.

The sensitisation was undertaken by Doyens Leverage, a law enforcement and intelligence training organisation, as part of the launching of its Security Awareness Programme in the Northern Region.

Mr George Dosoo Doyen, Coordinator, Security Awareness Programme, Doyens Leverage, said the increasing rate of crimes necessitated the launching of the programme to educate the citizenry on such crimes to help safeguard their lives.

Mr Dosoo Doyen said Doyens Leverage would visit mosques, churches, schools, organisations and social gatherings in the region to educate the citizenry on criminal activities to ensure that they did not fall victims to them.

He said so far, 18,000 citizens in the Greater Accra and Western Regions have benefited from the programme and urged all to embrace it as it would help save lives.
