Date:

Residents of Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region ushered in the New Year with fireworks and church services, with most worship centers filled to capacity to give thanks to God for His goodness.

The Congregants, at the stroke of midnight, sang praises to God with incessant thanksgiving.

At the Christian Praise International Church, the highly elated congregants welcomed 2025 with fervent prayers.

The Reverend Seth Twum Barimah, Dormaa-Ahenkro Head Pastor of the church, assured the congregants of God’s wonderful plans for their lives in the New Year.

He reminded them that it was only through prayers, sanctification, and abiding by Jesus Christ’s teachings that God’s wonderful plans for their lives would be fulfilled.
The principal streets of the town also saw spontaneous and colourful display of fireworks.

During a round visit, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) however noticed that many of the major drinking bars and pubs were almost empty.
