Danlad delighted with keeping King Faisal in the league

Date:

Black Satellites goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim says he is elated to have achieved his target of keeping King Faisal in the Ghana Premier League(GPL).

The 18-year old goalkeeping prodigy joined the “Insha Allah” Boys in the second round of the 2020/21 GPL from Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a loan deal till the end of the season.

Danlad who has been the first choice goalkeeper for the ‘Insha Allah’ Boys helped his side get a point in their last match against Liberty Professionals which kept them in the league with 41 points with a better head-to-head record over Ebusua Dwarfs who have the same points.

Speaking in a post-match interview after the draw, Danlad said he was very happy to achieve his mission with King Faisal and would return to his parent-club ahead of next season.

“I came to the club to help them survive in the league and right now the mission is complete and I would like to thank Almighty Allah and the players as well for putting in their effort in achieving this target.

“The game against Liberty Professionals was a tough one because they needed three points but we were well motivated ahead of the game and we worked very hard to get that point to help us survive,” he said.

Danlad who is expected to join Kotoko following the expiration of the loan deal said he was undecided about his next move and would sit with his management to decide the best move for him and hopes a good offer comes.
