Court adjourns case involving man arrested with 565 ATM cards

Date:

The Criminal Court 5 Division of the High Court has declined to hear a bail application for a man who was arrested with 565 ATM cards.

The Court presided over by Her Ladyship, Lydia Osei Marfo, said she could not entertain the application owing to new developments the Prosecution had made in the matter.

Bachir Musa Aminou was arrested last year at the Kotoka International Airport with 656 ATM Cards to various banks in Ghana and in Nigeria.

He was subsequently charged with two counts of electronic trafficking and stealing, but has pleaded not guilty, and has since been in lawful custody.

Her Ladyship, Lydia Osei Marfo, in her ruling on the Prosecution’s prayer for more time, said the application for bail could not be heard until the investigations into Bachir Musa’s alleged activities were completed.

The case has been adjourned to February 28, 2022.
