Haruna Iddrisu, Member of Parliament for Tamale South, rejected the seat offered to him following his removal as Minority Leader on Thursday, February 9.
Collins Dauda, a lawmaker from Asutifi South, offered him the seat.
However, he informed the Speaker that, as a well-educated individual, he will not accept his senior brother’s seat.
Please forgive me for taking your seat, Mr. Speaker.
“The question was whether I should succeed Honorable Collins Dauda. I’ve told them that Honorable Collins Dauda is a senior in this house, and I won’t fit into his chair. As someone who has received excellent training at home.
“Any other cair Mr Speaker is acceptable to me. I am still the elected Member of Parliament for Tamale South.”
Mr Iddrisu was replaced with Ajumako Enyan Essiam lawmaker Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
Muntaka Mubarak and James Kluste Avedzi were also removed as Minority Chief Whip and Deputy Minsrurty leader respectively and replaced with Kwame Agbodza and Emmanuel Armh Kofi Buah.
