COASTLINE WEATHER WARNING 04/06/2020

The marine environment of Ghana is engulfed by a rainstorm today June 4, 2020 at 0900GMT. The storm will continue to produce moderate to heavy rains with strong winds over the ocean between now and late afternoon.

Per the directional wind flow, the rainstorm is expected to move slightly inland to induce cloudiness over coastal Ghana later this morning into the afternoon with rains of varying intensities over some areas.

Areas to be affected include: Tegbi, Anloga, Ada Foah, Ada Kasseh, Totope, Prampram, Kpone, Ashaiman, Tema, Teshie, Accra, Budumburan, Bortianor, Senya Breku, Winneba, Mankessim, Anomabo, Cape coast, Elmina, Sekondi, Takoradi, Axim and surroundings.

The conditions stated above are expected to occur between 1000GMT and 1500GMT (10AM and 3PM)

The storm is expected to trigger rain and thunder developments over parts of the inland areas (Eastern, Western and Western North regions) in the afternoon.

A separate rainstorm over Northern Nigeria which is expected to move to Northern Ghana later today is also under constant monitoring. Update on the storm will be issued when the need arises.
