Awake Purified Drinking Water gives GH¢ 1 million to National Cardiothoracic Centre

Awake Purified Drinking Water, CIMG Product of the year 2017 through its charity driven project; ‘One4Life’ donated an amount GH¢ 75,000 on Valentine’s Day to support people with various cardiovascular diseases.

This donation cumulatively sums up all donations made so far from 2016 to GH¢1 million.

Awake Purified Drinking Water has over the years donated to the National Cardiothoracic Centre to financially support the less privileged and disadvantaged who cannot afford medical care, heart transplant, heart surgeries, etc.

Speaking at the event, Director for Water and CSD, Eunice Adjei announced that donation made so far to the Cardio Centre through the sales of Awake bottles has reached a total of GH¢1 million with 66 beneficiaries.

“Indeed, we proudly attest that with the help of Ghanaian consumers and our stakeholders, our dream of building a formidable brand and a great Corporate Social Responsibility project has immensely been successful and we are poised in ensuring continuity of the One4Life campaign,” she said.

She said “we want to say thank you to all consumers, distributors, retailers and everyone that has supported Awake Purified Drinking Water and the One4Life project since 2016.”

Receiving the 9th donation since the initiative began, Dr Lawrence Sereboe, Head of the Cardiothoracic Centre, who received the cheque on behalf of the centre used the opportunity to express the centre’s gratitude to Awake Purified Drinking Water and Kasapreko Company Limited for sustaining their commitment to the centre.

He also used the opportunity to entreat corporate bodies and individuals to follow suit and support the centre to save more lives.

 

In the spirit of St Valentine, the Awake team also provided breakfast packs with chocolates to patients on admission and in the OPD to remind them that they are loved and cherished.

 

The main objective of the donation was to thank its consumers for helping the brand to achieve great success through their continuous purchase of Awake Purified Drinking Water.

 

Gospel musician, Diana Antwi Hamilton graced the occasion, to thank consumers for their support in achieving this feat; through their continuous patronage of Awake which contributes 10p on every 500ml bottle purchase.
