President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has restated his government’s commitment to doing all possible to expand the country’s private sector, which would contribute to economic growth.
He suggested this since the country’s present economic woes necessitate private-sector investment.
President Akufo-Addo stated at the Jubilee House during a meeting with the Group Board Chair of Standard Chartered Bank, José Vinals, that Ghana will always welcome private investment.
“Our administration is totally dedicated to doing everything possible to assist the private sector, both local and international, in working in a competitive climate so that it can contribute to economic progress.” “We are certain that the strength of Ghana’s private sector will ultimately define Ghana’s future and potential,” he remarked.
As a result, President Akufo-Addo stated that the services of banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, which assist the private sector in growing, are exactly what the country requires. This is why the country is ecstatic to welcome the bank.
“So, a bank like yours that has had a lot of experience around the world in providing the products that enable private sector operators to work is a bank whose contribution and association we value very much. We are happy to have you here on board,” he added.a
