Felix Owusu-Adjapong, a stalwart of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Majority Leader, has received praise from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He noted that he served the party with distinction and carried himself with poise and decency.
Mr. Owusu-Adjapong, 79, died on October 4, 2023.
In a statement, President Akufo-Addo said, “Hon. Felix Owusu Adjapong was a well-known name amongst the ranks of the NPP. Three-term Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru in the Eastern Region, and holder of a number of Ministerial positions in the Government of the 2nd President of the Republic, His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, he served the NPP with distinction, and conducted himself with poise and dignity. The NPP and Ghana have lost a stalwart servant, but we are hopeful that we shall meet him again in Heaven”.
He expressed his condolences to Felix Owusu’s family.
“My wife, Rebecca, the First Lady, and I send our deepest condolences and sympathies to his widow, children, family, to the New Patriotic Party, and to the people of Akyem Swedru, the Eastern Region and Ghana on the loss of this distinguished son of Ghana”.
