Bawumia Empowers 22 Former Kayaye Girls As Bus Drivers.

Date:

In an inspiring ceremony held in Accra, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), handed over certificates to 22 former Kayaye girls who have successfully undergone training and qualified as bus drivers.

This initiative is part of the NPP’s efforts to empower and transform the lives of Kayayeis, who are typically head porters.

The KEP has already transformed the lives of over 5,000 Kayayeis, providing them with training in various skills such as soap and detergent making, bakery, pedicure and manicure, décor, and makeup.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the transformation of the Kayayeis is a testament to the mindset of possibilities and the impact of making the right decisions.

He emphasized that the Kayayeis have demonstrated that they have the same level of intellect as anyone else, and as President, he will continue to create equal opportunities for them and young Ghanaians to realize their potential.

Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to empowering Kayayeis and young Ghanaians is part of his broader vision for Ghana’s development.

As outlined in the NPP’s 2024 manifesto, his government plans to focus on creating jobs, reducing the cost of living, and promoting economic growth.

Under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, the NPP aims to build on its track record of implementing policies and programs that benefit the most vulnerable members of society.

His government plans to protect and deepen existing social policies and programs, such as free SHS, free TVET, and the National Health Insurance Scheme.

With the December 7 elections fast approaching, Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to empowering Kayayeis and young Ghanaians is a testament to his vision for a more inclusive and prosperous Ghana.
