I am the best person to lead Ashaiman in Parliament – Independent Candidate

Date:

Mr. John Hope Alormasor, an independent parliamentary candidate for the Ashaiman Constituency for Ghana’s Election 2024, says he is the best person to lead the people of the constituency in Parliament.

Mr. Alormasor said his “I Care for You” manifesto was well formulated to provide the right leadership and representation for the people.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), he indicated that he was led by a sincere belief and evidently driven fact that the people of Ashaiman needed a visionary leader to lead them to a desired state of development, welfare, and security.

He said his promises are based on his integrity to fulfil them within his means as a member of parliament (MP).

According to him, when elected as the MP, he would put up an emergency health fund within the first eight months in service to support the elderly with critical health needs that are not covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to save lives.

The Ashaiman Independent Candidate further noted that he would provide a set of exercise books at the beginning of every academic year to Upper Primary pupils annually to help alleviate some financial burden on parents.

Mr. Alormasor promised to provide sand and stones at designated centres in all the electoral areas for Unit Committee Members to champion basic development, especially for drainages to make the communities clean.

He further stated that he would augment the work of the assembly by installing streetlights in all areas to improve visibility and safety, especially at night.

“Within the first three months into office, I will create a portal or website for Ashaiman for all updates, opportunity awareness, and announcements from the office of the MP,” he said.

He added that he would establish well-equipped ICT hubs where students, entrepreneurs, and professionals could access resources such as computers, printers, and high-speed internet for research, business, and education.

The Independent Candidate further promised that he would institute a scholarship scheme for tertiary students, adding that he would also lobby for more health facilities with adequate medical supplies and affordable services, especially maternal and child health services.

According to him, he intends to lobby for market facilities that have better infrastructure to support traders and boost local commerce, as well as for improved road network construction.

The independent candidate said he would work in consultation with the Ashaiman traditional leaders to locate land for the construction of a rehabilitation centre for the youth addicted to hard drugs to be given skills and helped out of their addiction.

He noted that for the women in the constituency, he would lobby international economic development agencies and philanthropists to support them with capital for business.
