By 2023’s end, according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the country’s inflation rate will have decreased.

The rate at which prices increase over a specific time period is known as inflation. As of September 2023, Ghana’s inflation rate was 38.1 percent.

The president claims that steps are being taken by the administration to boost the economy and control inflation.

At the time of his comments, President Akufo-Addo was addressing at a gathering of the Christian Council of Ghana at Jubilee House.

“The indications are getting more and more evident, and the really high inflation rate we experienced last year is decreasing. We will be looking at 26.7 percent by year’s end.

“By the end of next year, we will bring it down to 15. We have to go down to the single digits,” he stated.

President Akufo-Addo also used the opportunity to ask for prayers to lead the country to recovery.
