NSS will avoid overcrowding at deployment nurse registration centres.

Date:

With the publication of a total of 12,295 nurse postings, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Administration has stated that steps are being put in place to minimise congestion at the different registration locations around the nation.

The Scheme issued the postings for employees who enlisted to complete their one-year required national service at various recognised health institutions around the country for the 2023/2024 service year on Saturday, June 10.

Ambrose Entsiwah Junior, the Scheme’s interim director of corporate affairs, stated that measures have already been taken to alleviate traffic at various registration centres ahead of validation and registration.

“I must stress that with this figure, we do not anticipate large crowds at the registration centres, so there should be no traffic.” It is generally when we post the primary service employees from higher institutions, and we are talking about around 150,000 or so, that we get traffic, but with these numbers, traffic at the different registration centres is unlikely.”

Regional validation and registration will commence on Monday, June 12, 2023, and will conclude on Friday, June 30, 2023, across the country.

Deployed nurses will also begin their mandated national duty on Monday, July 3, 2023, after their validation and registration processes are completed.
