Digital marketing strategist Maximus Ametorgoh has stressed the significance of banks giving their online banking customers’ data protection a priority.
He thinks that doing this will lessen the frequency of cyberattacks.
The economic progress of both individual consumers and the entire country could be hampered, he observes, by a subpar online banking system.

Maxwell Ametorgoh urged banks to frequently update their digital infrastructure in an interview with Citi Business News as a way to reduce instances of cybercrime.
“The banks must also make sure that they are also setting up much-secured platforms and gateways for their customers because if you are doing a lot of digitalization; security is very important when it comes to platforms usage, privacy protection,” he said.
“People’s security cannot be guaranteed if there’s no data security. If your platform is very vulnerable to hacking it means you cannot protect people’s private data. So the banks must ensure that all the software, platforms and servers, configuration layers they use are top-notch and make sure these are constantly maintained,” he added.
