Don’t expect the Black Stars to have a perfect season, Derek Boateng tells Inaki Williams.

Date:

Following the striker’s choice to play for Ghana, former Ghana player Derek Boateng warned Inaki Williams not to anticipate perfection at the Black Stars camp.

Williams made his decision to play for Ghana official on Tuesday. The 28-year-old, whose parents are from Ghana, was born in Bilbao and has only participated in one national team match for Spain.

Williams is a wonderful addition to the team, and Boateng has applauded the move. However, the Athletic Bilbao forward needs to mentally prepare himself for the likelihood that not everything will go as planned.

“Inaki Williams shouldn’t expect the Black Stars camp to run well. He’s a good addition to the club, even though this is not Spain or Europe,” Boateng told Onua Sports.

When I played for Getafe in La Liga, I faced up against Inaki Williams, and I am extremely familiar with him.

Williams broke the previous record of 202 in October and now holds the LaLiga record for the most consecutive appearances (233).

With Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in their group for the World Cup in Qatar this year, the transfer gives Ghana a boost. The competition starts on November 21.
