Ghana remains a favorable investment destination despite COVID-19, Russia-Ukraine war – Yofi Grant

Date:

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) insists that Ghana is still a favourable investment destination, despite the impact of COVID-19 and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

The centre said Ghana has a unique selling proposition that remains attractive to investors all over the world.

The CEO of GIPC, Yofi Grant while speaking on the Citi Business Festival on-air series on opportunities in Ghana said “in 2021 when many countries were still reeling from the effects of the pandemic and even now with the Russia-Ukraine war, Ghana’s economic growth is 5.4% and the World Bank projected that it will grow at an average of 5.2% in the next three years. So it is not all gloomy as it is painted. It is pretty attractive. We are very optimistic that if we stay on course, we will get where we are going.”

According to him, Ghana’s political stability, economic growth and optimistic people are good business propositions that continue to attract investors.

“Those are the factors that investors want to see,” he said.

The GIPC is Ghana’s main agency for attracting & promoting investment into the country.

The Citi Business Festival is an extensive program of business events and on-air activities providing inspiration, business ideas, and information to persons who are starting, building, or growing their businesses.

The on-air series will air on the Citi Breakfast Show on 97.3 Citi FM every weekday.

The 2022 edition of the Citi Business Festival is mainly sponsored by ABSA Bank, with support from MTN Momo and MTN Business, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, IT Consortium and GIRSAL.
