The National Appeals Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to hear petitions resulting from the disqualifications of some aspirants from the party’s regional executive elections.
The party in a statement says the National Appeals Committee chaired by Okere MP and Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation & Rural Development, Dan Botwe, will hear appeals and petitions from disqualified or aggrieved aspirants.
The statement says the Committee has set today, Tuesday, May 24, as the deadline for the receipt and hearing of all such appeals and petitions.
The Bono Regional NPP Election Committee has disqualified two out of the 29 applicants who filed to contest in the upcoming regional elections.

According to the Elections Committee, 23 men and 3 women are contesting for various positions in the upcoming elections.
A total of 246 delegates are expected to vote in the elections.
The poll is scheduled for this weekend, beginning Friday, May 27, to Sunday, May 29, 2022, across the country.
