Ghanaian centre-back, Joseph Aidoo has been named Celta Vigo’s player of the month for his incredible display for Los Celestes in January.

The Ghanaian contributed 20 clearances, six tackles and six interceptions in defence.

Aidoo, 26, was key to Celta Vigo’s exploits in January, where he was even deployed as a right-back in the game against Real Betis.

He played in all four games for Celta Vigo in the month of January, completing three 90 minutes before being substituted in the game against Sevilla.

The centre-back was vital for Celta who secured seven points from a possible 12 in January to climb up to 12th on La Liga table.
