Delegation of GITFIC members to hold regional dialogues in West African countries

A delegation of Ghana International Trade and Finance conference (GITFIC) will tour some West African countries to firm up some collaborations on African trade with regional dialogues.

Some of the countries slated to be visited are Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cote D’Ivoire, Togo and Senegal

Mr Selassi Koffi Ackom, Chief Executive Officer of GITFIC disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra after visiting the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) on Friday.

WAMI is the pilot-implementer of the Pan African Payment and Settlement System; a Key Component of a Successful Implementation of the AfCFTA.
Mr Ackom said they were gearing up for Regional Breakfast Dialogues in Banjul, Freetown, Abuja, Abidjan, Lome and Dakar

He said in Banjul, GITFiC would collaborate with BJM Consultancy Management Ltd, a Key Think Tank recommended by the immediate Past Chief Trade Negotiator of The Gambia who have done all ground works so far.

He said the Banjul dialogue would be slated for the 12th of October 2021 at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International conference Centre and the Special guest of honour would be Adama Barrow

He said the GITFIC would soon announce other dates.
“GITFiC will be traveling with a strong delegation from Ghana, WAMI, Ecowas Bank, Francophone Central Bank West Africa, Francophone Central Bank Central Africa et al. A section of the Ghanaian Media will be carefully selected on merit to cover in all 6 Countries.”
