Date:

The government has reacted to the claim by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that it has won a Parliamentary majority in Monday’s election.

At a press briefing in Accra Tuesday night, December 8, 2020 the Minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the claim was “false” and that the government felt it was better it clarified that erroneous impression.

He also condemned the call by the NDC for its supporters to start jubilating, something he said it was likely to create confusion if it turns out to be a false claim.

The press briefing was in reaction to a claim by the NDC that it has won a Parliamentary majority with 140 seats in Monday’s elections.
