CODA donates 35,000 pieces of nose masks to Western, Western North regions

Date:

The Coastal Development Authority (CODA), in its quest to ensure that Ghanaians are protected from COVID-19, has donated 35,000 pieces of hand sanitisers and reusable nose masks to the Western and Western North Coordinating Councils.

The items are to be distributed to all the metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) in the two regions.

The intervention, dubbed: “Wear a Mask Campaign,” aims at promoting the wearing of nose masks and adherence to the preventive and hygiene protocols.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CODA in charge of Western and Western North regions, Madam Mona Gertrude Effah, said the Authority was keenly monitoring the COVID-19 effect on the socio-economic lives of the people and deemed it appropriate to intervene to save lives.

She said the exercise was being carried out in all other regions within its jurisdiction.
