Africa’s leading digital TV operator StarTimes will on Wednesday, April 22, at 2:30pm broadcast the Concert for a Healthy Planet on its channels.
The virtual concert is in support of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO.
Five Grammy® Award-Winners led by Grammy® Award winner Ricky Kej, and an ensemble of 40 stellar musicians will come together for an online Concert dubbed “The Concert for a Healthy Planet: Ricky Kej LIVE at One Page Spotlight”.
“Given the current situation, an online concert is the best way for musicians to express ourselves. I am honored and humbled to collaborate with such accomplished musicians from around the world, this is truly a global musical experience.
“All the musicians have performed from their own homes to encourage #StayHomeStaySafe. I am grateful to StarTimes for this collaboration, and I hope this is the start for many more such collaborations,”Ricky Kej said.

The online event supports the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and will include 40 musicians from 6 countries ; among them South African flautist Wouter Kellerman, Senegalese singer Baaba Maal, American singers Laura Dickinson and Lonnie Park, Indian instrumentalist Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and the Mzansi Youth Choir from Soweto.
The broadcast on the free-to-air channel ST Guide and on the StarTimes ON mobile application.
