Voltic Ghana Limited, producers of Voltic Natural Mineral Water (Voltic), has introduced a new twisted bottle as part of its goal to drive home the recycling message and remain eco-friendly.
The new twisted bottle, which has seven per cent less plastic, gives consumers the ease of twisting the bottle after consumption of Voltic water as the company continuously develops sustainable ways to manufacture, distribute and sell its products.

Launching the bottle last Thursday, in Accra, the Managing Director (MD) of the company, Mr Francois Gazania, observed that the new innovative bottle was designed to encourage recycling in the country.
“For us, recycling is big on our agenda and so we want to collaborate with various stakeholders and industries to recycle plastics and keep our country clean.
“We also want to work hard to ensure we collect, recycle and reuse 100 per cent of our plastics,” he said.
He explained that with the growing concern about the spate of plastic pollution in the world, culminating in the recent launch of the Ghana National Plastic Action Plan, it had become obvious that the more sustainable way to manage plastic waste was to collaborate with all stakeholders along the value chain.
He said this was expected to start with an action to encourage segregation and recycling of post-consumer plastic at source.
New identity
The Country Sales and Marketing Manager of Voltic, Mr Raymond Gbetivi, indicated that the twisted bottle would now be the new identity for its brand.
He explained that the company was not only interested in providing bottled water which is natural but also concerned about delivering world class packaging.
“For us, product packaging is very important to the growth of our operations.
