THE POWER OF WIND

Date:

The simple force of a breeze has inspired innovation for thousands of years.

In ancient Egypt, wind was harnessed to move boats along the Nile.

The earliest windmills appeared in Persia between 500 and 700 A.D., grinding grain and pumping water.

Given the value of wind’s early role in society, it’s not surprising that it’s become such a vital source of power today.

Now common throughout the world, wind energy is poised for even more remarkable growth, driven by falling costs and ever-improving technology.
