Ghana FA Elections: Kurt Okraku and Winfred Osei deny alliance for president

Date:

The camps of Ghana Football presidential aspirants Kurt Okraku and Winfred Osei Kwaku have denied forming an alliance.

According to reports in the local media, former Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi chaired a meeting where he announced the merger.

But that has been flatly denied by the two former Ghana FA Executive Committee members.

”We have read with utter surprise, a statement purported to have emanated from one Seidu Adamu stating that, a meeting was chaired by former FIFA Council Member -Kwesi Nyantakyi- with the intention of bringing together two FA Presidential aspirants, Messrs Wilfred Osei Kwaku (Palmer) and Kurt Okraku so as to form a united front to win the GFA Presidential election, ” Osei’s team responded.

”The statement went further to allege that, Mr. Osei Kwaku (Palmer)should become the FA President whilst Mr. Kurt Okraku becomes his vice. The Campaign Team of Mr Osei Kwaku (Palmer) vehemently deny that any such meeting had taken place.

”There is no iota of truth in the statement and should, therefore, be treated with the contempt it deserves.”
