Nana B Apologises For Hitting NDC Boy

Date:

The National Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has apologised for hitting NDC’s Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi.

Nana B appeared to throw his hands towards the head of the NDC communicator in the studios of Asempa FM during a live show after Sammy Gyamfi allegedly made comments attacking the Office of the President.

Sammy could be heard in the video calling the NPP National Youth Organiser “stupid” without any provocation.

Nana B who found the verbal attacks to be provocative and unacceptable, lost his cool and threw his hands at the vociferous NDC communicator, disrupting the radio station’s programme in the process.

The incident drew condemnation from certain quarters, with the NDC holding a press conference where they called on the police to arrest Nana B within 24 hours.

The NPP National Youth Organiser has since apologised for the incident saying it will not happen again.

He, however, called on the NDC communicator to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances and must, at all times, respect the Office of the President.

“Regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC’s National Communications Director on the show which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded”, Nana B said in a statement.

“I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President”, he added.
